The whole pavilion begins with the history and development of electricity that leads visitors into a scientific, technological and mysterious house of electric power! The theme of the house is divided into four main stages and transitive spatial arrangements are used to provide visitors with a unique experience!
The History and Development of Electricity — introduces the development of “electricity” and attracts visitors with special lightning and thunder effects.
The Current State of Operation of Power Industry in Taiwan & the Appearances of Power Plants — introduces the distribution, features and images of various power plants in Taiwan. The LEDs in the model indicate to the visitors the locations of different modules of the power plant.
Power Lines, Substations & Xingda Power Plant — introduces the process of electricity transmission and Xingda Power Plant, the second largest in Taiwan. Rare pieces of generator turbines and cycling modules are also showcased.
Renewable Energy — introduces different methods of power generation such as solar, geothermal, ocean thermal gradient, wave, tidal and wind.
Energy conservation & Electrical Safety — cartoon animations illustrate different ways of saving energy and the conveniences that saving energy can actually bring. Comic pictorials and hands-on Q&A computer games help visitors learn about electrical safety.
